Guelph Climate Ribbon Project – Year 2!

In 2025, we launched Guelph’s Climate Ribbon Project at the How To Draw A Tree circle with UG CARE, Student Wellness, and Dawn Matheson.

It’s BACK for 2026 and already dancing with many RIBBONS! Thanks to Facilitator Sally Ludwig of GCAN, Jeanna Rex and the team at CARE and Steve Donnelly for facilitating the opening with the CARE students.

ADD YOUR OWN. Markers and ribbons are on site; just write your name and one thing you are sad to lose to climate change.

The CLIMATE RIBBON PROJECT is a global story-sharing arts ritual that helps us move from climate grief to climate action by inviting community to share the beloved things they stand to lose to climate change, and commit to protecting our planet.

Last year’s edition was supported by CARE (“Climate Adaptation, Resilience, and Empowerment” with Jeanna Rex), the Student Wellness Centre (Steve Donnelly), and community artist Dawn Matheson. Special thanks to Richelle Forsey.
